(Credit: Yahoo) When the Houston Texans cut their biggest acquisition of the off-season, former All-Pro safety Ed Reed, almost every fan of every team clamored for their team to sign him. Reed has battled nagging injuries and hadn’t been productive in the least for Houston thus far in 2013, and many thought a return to the Baltimore Ravens (where Reed spent the majority of his career) was imminent. But according to the Ravens Twitter account, coach John Harbaugh has confirmed that the team has no plans to bring Reed back. I would imagine at some point Reed will sign a one day contract so he can retire as a Raven, but at this juncture he would probably be of little help to the team, so bringing him back has little value beyond the sentimental realm. The Ravens are not planning to re-sign safety Ed Reed. — Baltimore Ravens (@Ravens) November 13, 2013   The post Ravens don’t plan on re-signing Ed Reed appeared first on DOWN & DISTANCE - Presented by Sports-Kings.

Ed Reed Will Draw Interest But Impact Will Be Limited, Colin Kaepernick Needs Michael Crabtree and Other NFL Thoughts

The Jaguars and Buccaneers both finally got off the snide this week, allowing the 2008 Detroit Lions to celebrate their incredible winless season for at least one more season. The Chiefs were on bye, meaning their perfect record will remain intact for at least one more week — two meetings with the Broncos in three weeks should change that.
