Baltimore Ravens safety Ed Reed broke the NFL record for the most interception return yards after he intercepted Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton on Monday night.

Reed returned the interception 34-yards for a touchdown with seconds left in the third quarter.  He set a new NFL record of 1,497 career interception return yards.  The record was previously held by Rod Woodson with 1,483 yards.

Reed also tied Emmitt Thomas for 10th on the all-time interceptions list with 58.  He also owns the NFL record for the highest return average for players with 30 or more career interceptions.

Reed went to the Ravens locker room with a hamstring injury, its not clear if the injury was serious or not.
