The Ravens will give more basic looks with their secondary against Cleveland Sunday compared to the San Diego game last week. One of the things the Ravens tried to accomplish last week was taking away slant or inside routs from the Chargers, which is why strong safety Dawan Landry spent a lot of time close to or inside the box. According to defensive coordinator Greg Mattison, Landry became almost like another cornerback. That left free safety Ed Reed alone over the top. There was at least one occasion in which Reed took the bait on an underneath route, and it cost the Ravens a long pass play. Cornerback Domonique Foxworth looked like it was his fault because he expected to get help over the middle, but Reed was gone. There will be less confusion Sunday because the Browns' passing game isn't as complicated and Cleveland doesn't have a multi-threat in the backfield like San Diego's Darren Sproles.
