Baltimore Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs confirmed Monday
that he sustained a torn biceps muscle during Sunday’s contest against the
Pittsburgh Steelers, reports NFL.com.
Terrell Suggs confirmed to NFL.com's Albert Breer on
Monday that he has a torn biceps muscle, but the Baltimore Ravens linebacker
believes he can play through the injury.
Coach John Harbaugh came out Monday and said he and the
Ravens are encouraged that Suggs’ injury isn’t serious. For his part, the
linebacker is insisting he can play through the injury, but Baltimore is having
him receive a second opinion on the torn biceps to back this sentiment up.
Three or four current NFL players have the same injury Suggs
is dealing with and are playing through it, according to Albert Breer of
NFL.com. The reigning Defensive Player of the Year has played in six games
since returning from a partially torn Achilles tendon, recording 19 tackles and
two sacks during that time.
