In his break out year as a return specialist, Balimore Ravens receiver Jacoby Jones is now a marked man.
"Oh yeah, I got that bulls-eye on my chest," Jones told Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun. "That's what happens."
His last return for a TD was on Dec. 2, a 63-yard punt return against the Pittsburgh Steelers in a 13-10 win, and just last week against the Colts in the wild card round, had a 37-yard kickoff return and a 34-yard punt return, making him someone the top-seeded Broncos will need to pay close attention to.
"It's a field-position game," Jones said. "We got to play our game and hope we hit a crease. I always try to break one. Judge Lewis by aftermath of trial
When it comes to Ray Lewis and the celebration/glorification of his illustrious, 17-season NFL career, the cliche "what's done is done" applies.
As his career comes to a close, perhaps this weekend when the Ravens take on Peyton Manning and the Broncos, football fans should not be ashamed of loving Ray Lewis. He's earned our admiration and respect.
That is not...
Ravens LB Lewis defends his dancing at Sunday's game
Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis took exception to Indianapolis wide receiver Reggie Wayne calling his dance at the end of Sunday's AFC wild-card game disrespectful. Lewis, who announced last week that he's retiring from the NFL after 17 seasons when the Ravens are eliminated from the playoffs, said he wasn't taunting the Colts or rubbing it in. "It wasn...

Bernard Pollard on the strategy for Peyton Manning: “We have to do everything we can to pressure him”
Baltimore Ravens safety Bernard Pollard has been around the league long enough not to fool himself. He knows this weekend’s match up with Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos comes down to one thing. Pressure.
Time is the enemy for the Ravens, the more time afforded to Manning, the bigger the problem will be. Keeping receivers Demaryius Thomas and Eric Decker in check will go...
Ravens Could Be Forced To Cut WR Anquan Boldin?
ESPNs Adam Schefter writes that the Baltimore Ravens are currently sitting $5 million over next seasons salary cap, which means that theyll need to shed some salary before the start of the next league year.
Schefter adds that Ray Lewis retiring will eliminate $3.8 million from their cap, but what is really going to complicate things further is the fact that Joe Flacco is...
The Broncos are ready to take down the aging Ravens defense. Divisional round preview.
Peyton Manning is ready to light-up the old Ravens defense this weekend.
The Wildcard round provided us with one really good game and three pretty poor ones.
Here's a first look at the Divisional Round
Baltimore vs Denver - The Ravens were able to beat a young Colts team but it was not an impressive victory. Yes Flacco threw for 282yds, but he was 12-23 which is...
Ravens FB Vonta Leach, RB Bernard Pierce Return To Practice
Ravens fullback Vonta Leach and running back Bernard Pierce both returned to practice Thursday on a limited basis.
Leach missed Wednesday's session with knee and ankle injuries, while Pierce missed practice with a knee ailment.

Ravens LB Ray Lewis Says He Meant No Disrespect To Colts With 'Final Dance'
Ravens inside linebacker Ray Lewis said he did his trademark late-game dance on Sunday to honor my time and my city, not out of disrespect to the Indianapolis Colts.
Lewis response came a day after Colts veteran wide receiver Reggie Wayne told WNDE-AM in Indianapolis that he saw the dance, which occurred after the final kneel down of the Ravens 24-9 victory at M&T...

One day before facing the Broncos in the divisional round of the playoffs, the Ravens placed starting offensive guard Jah Reid (toe) on injured reserve.

NFL Divisional Round: Saturday Preview
Going into the divisional round, the matchups have a certain gene c’est qua that the wildcard games lack. Even with my beloved Colts were eliminated by the passionate performance of the Baltimore Ravens, I am excited for this week’s matchups.
Let’s begin with the first of the two Saturday matchups.
Baltimore Ravens at Denver Broncos (Saturday 4:30 PM EST)
Last week, the Ravens...
Mick’s Picks: Two Divisional Round Upsets
Last week’s wildcard weekend saw no underdogs winning in what ended up being four lopsided games. Solid victories came at home for Baltimore, Green Bay, and Houston (yes, I know they only won by six points but they dominated time of possession and never really looked threatened by Cincinnati). Seattle completed the superfecta for the favorites with a road win at Washington. All...
