Paul Kruger made significant strides in his performance last season, setting career highs with the Baltimore Ravens in games played, sacks and tackles. Now it's time for the fourth-year linebacker to take another huge step as the replacement for the injured Terrell Suggs, who will be sidelined for several months with a torn right Achilles tendon. Kruger is working hard this summer, but he is quick to point out that he is no Suggs. ''You're talking about the best defensive player in the league,'' Kruger said. ''It's pretty much impossible to replace a guy like that. For me, it's about just me being me and being the best player I can be and filling that role.'' As Suggs' backup last year, Kruger had 5 1/2 sacks and played in 16 games for the first time.

OWINGS MILLS, Md. -- Ravens offensive tackle Bryant McKinnie returned to town Sunday afternoon, arriving at Baltimore-Washington International Airport with his luggage and a sore lower back. Ravens camp begins full pad scrimmages...

The good news at Ravens camp besides the beginning of full-contact drills is that LT Bryant McKinnie finally reported, and it turns out the big veteran did suffer a lower back injury in a slippery fall inside his home in Florida.  He's okay and actually looks pretty svelte by all accounts, having worked himself down to about 340 pounds... not bad considering he came in between...

Flacco, Romo, Ryan not yet elite?

At some point in the not too distant future, probably before the beginning of the 2012 regular season, the Baltimore Ravens will reward Joe Flacco with a contract extension that makes him one of the league's highest paid quarterbacks. Then this debate, already fairly vocal among Ravens' fans, will really heat up: Is Flacco, who last season came within a dropped Lee Evans...
