During the Baltimore Ravens 31-29 thrilling victory over the Dallas Cowboys, Ravens CB Lardarious Webb collided knees with Cowboys WR Dez Bryant, and the outcome was the worst news Webb and the Ravens could have gotten.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on ESPN.COM that a league source informed him that Webb had suffered a Torn ACL in the right knee as a result of the collision with Bryant.
It is a disappointing outcome for Webb who has been playing well all season and had already compiled an interception, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery thus far this season. Webb's absence will result in Jimmy Smith being on the field all the time now, as Smith was the Ravens number three corner. Safety Bernard Pollard stated on ESPN.COM
"That's what happens in this game. You hate to see a guy like that go down because he's worked his tail off. Our prayers are with him to get a speedy recovery, but the next man has to step up."
Unfortunately, Webb's ACL was...

RAY OF NO HOPE
The Ravens' worst fears have been confirmed, as torn triceps will indeed keep their franchise linebacker sidelined for the rest of 2012.
Former Baltimore Ravens offensive lineman Wally Williams told the media that his former teammate Ray Lewis has some glaring weaknesses and has declined quite a bit over the years.“He’s outmanned at the point of attack,” said Williams. “He’s not as physical. You see a lot of Ray on the ground, on his back. He gets overpowered and stuck to blocks.“You can’t expect a guy...
According to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports, Baltimore Ravens nose tackle Haloti Ngata has a minor MCL sprain. He should be fine, he likely won’t miss too much time. This is great news for the Ravens after losing Ladarius Webb for the season. Following the news that cornerback Lardarius Webb would be
out for the remainder of the season, Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh told
reporters, including Ryan Mink of NFL.com, the team would also be without linebacker
Ray Lewis for the year.
“Ray has a triceps tear,”
Harbaugh said. “A complete tear. So he’ll be out for the season.”
So as expected yesterday, the Baltimore Ravens announced that Ray Lewis would be shutting it down for the rest of the season. Could this be the last we’ve seen of Ray Lewis? At first look, it doesn’t look like anything but a standard tackle with maybe a little stinger down the arm but he doesn’t look like he’s in pain.
He’s a good linebacker, don’t get me wrong...
According to Jeff Darlington of NFL.com, Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis may have torn his triceps muscle, which means he could be lost for the season.
Ravens cornerback Ladarius Webb went down with a knee injury today that could end up being a torn ACL. These would be two crushing blows to the Ravens’ defense.

Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis will miss the remainder of the season with an arm injury, an enormous blow to an already depleted defense that has uncharacteristically struggled this year.

Ravens LB Ray Lewis Out For Remainder Of Season -
The news on Ray Lewis’s arm injury is every bit as bad as feared. Jay Glazer of FOX Sports reports that an MRI on Lewis showed a complete tear of triceps, meaning Lewis is done for the year. For the Ravens, that’s a major blow: Although Lewis may not be playing at quite the same level as he was when he was the best defensive player...
John Harbaugh confirmed that both linebacker Ray Lewis and cornerback Lardarius Webb will miss the remainder of the season, although the Baltimore Ravens head coach did his best to make Monday's grim announcement feel like a normal news conference rather than a wake.
"There have been many, many times our defense carried a heavy, heavy burden over the years," Harbaugh...
