After this past Saturday’s big overtime win over the Broncos, Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh shared a text message with his team. The text was from Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti who was at home sick with the flu and was unable to attend the game.  “I’ve never texted you during a game,” Harbaugh read, quoting the text. “We are down 35-28. And I think it’s the best game I’ve ever seen us in the playoffs since 2000. Win or lose I am so proud of the team and proud of you.” The Ravens are a great organization and it starts from up top with Bisciotti who does a great job running his team.  This is another example of why the Ravens are such a strong team.   Need NFL Tickets? var _CI = _CI || {}; (function() { var script = document.createElement('script'); ref = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; _CI.counter = (_CI.counter) ? _CI.counter + 1 : 1; document.write(''); script.type = 'text/javascript'; script.src = 'http://widget.crowdignite.com/widgets/27484?_ci_wid=_CI_widget_'+_CI.counter; script.async = true; ref.parentNode.insertBefore(script, ref); })(); sr_adspace_id = 1000005525107; sr_adspace_width = 300; sr_adspace_height = 250; sr_ad_new_window = true; sr_adspace_type = "graphic";

Jim Harbaugh Says He’s Half The Coach His Brother John Is

It must be a gift and a curse to have a brother in the same profession, when both of you are really good at what you do and people around you expect you to fight for supremacy. The Harbaugh brothers like any siblings are competitive with each other to a point, but do their best to avoid it turning into a rivalry. Ravens head coach John Harbaugh is the older of the two and has always...

Will the Harbaugh brothers meet in the Super Bowl?

O Brother, Where art thou? The Harbaugh brothers, Jim and John, are each, for the second consecutive year, one step from the Super Bowl. That is pretty, pretty good. No? It raises the question (though it does not beg it, because begging the question is a philosophical term that has nothing to do with raising a question): Are the Harbaugh brothers to NFL coaching what the Manning...

Jim Harbaugh says brother John is NFL’s best coach

Brothers Jim and John Harbaugh are ultra competitive, but also very supportive of each other. (Credit: Ben Liebenberg/AP Photo) When it comes to football, the NFL is the world’s most competitive stage. That competition is even stronger for the Harbaugh brothers, San Francisco head coach Jim Harbaugh and Baltimore head coach John Harbaugh. Both coaches have their teams in their...

Bisciotti sent Harbaugh in-game text of thanks

With the Ravens trailing by a touchdown late in the fourth quarter in Denver, majority owner Steve Bisciotti wrote a text message to Harbaugh. Dealing with the flu, Bisciotti wasn't able to attend the game. "I've never texted you during a game," said Harbaugh in the locker room afterward with cameras capturing him reading the text to the players. "We are...

Jim Harbaugh Says Brother John Harbaugh Is Tops Among NFL Coaches With ‘Full Grasp’ of All Parts of Game

Jim Harbaugh has done pretty well for himself in the NFL, going 24-7-1 and making it to the NFC Championship Game in both of his years as head coach of the San Francisco 49ers. But when it comes to comparing himself to older brother John Harbaugh, who is 54-26 with three AFC Championship Game visits over five years with the Ravens, Jim won’t concede that he’s in the same class...

Harbaugh: No coaching for Lewis yet

Ray Lewis doesn't want to make the transition from player to coach - not yet anyway. Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said Thursday that Lewis, who retired after the Super Bowl, ''has not expressed an interest to coach.'' Harbaugh expects Lewis to do ''many amazing and powerful things'' in retirement following a 17-year run as Baltimore...

Jim Harbaugh: I thought entire team 'competed like maniacs'

Colin Kaepernick kicked off his NFL playoff career with flying colors Saturday and — after the 49ers quarterback shredded the Packers defense for 181 yards on the ground and 263 through the air — head coach Jim Harbaugh finally had good reason to stop his hand-wringing about replacing Alex Smith with his record-setting QB. If Harbaugh was breathing easy about making the right...

Ravens owner happy win or lose

Baltimore Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti was unable to attend Saturday's game against the Denver Broncos because of the flu.  But he was very happy with the team win or lose. As Ravens head coach John Harbaugh exited the field after the Ravens pulled off a stunning victory in

Bill Belichick 18-7 Postseason Record Trumps John Harbaugh (7-4)

Bill Belichick is 18-7 in the postseason and 5-2 in his career against the Baltimore Ravens.

Harbaugh vs Belichick is most compelling

The obvious NFL story line is a remake: the potential for a Harbaugh vs. Harbaugh clash in the Super Bowl. We beat this story to death a year ago until the Giants sent Jim Harbaugh and the 49ers home with a field goal in overtime and a dropped pass and a shanked field goal cost John Harbaugh and the Ravens a trip to the Super Bowl. Here we are again -- the Ravens and the 49ers...

Ravens Eager for AFC Title Game Rematch Against Patriots on Sunday (Video)

The Patriots are familiar opponents to the Baltimore Ravens, these two teams having met on this exact stage last year and again in Week 3 of this season. Ravens nose tackle Haloti Ngata wouldn’t want it any other way. “I think we personally kind of wanted to play the Patriots again,” Ngata said. “If we were to go to the Super Bowl, it would be great to go through Foxboro...
