Another Ravens player has been placed on the season-ending injured reserve list. The Ravens announced Saturday afternoon that they have placed rookie fourth-round pick Christian Thompson on IR. Thompson, a safety, had seen most of his playing time come on special teams. He had been dealing with a knee injury. To take Thompson’s spot on the roster, the Ravens elevated safety Anthony Levine from the practice squad.

Ravens Injury Report: DE Pernell McPhee Doubtful, DT Terrence Cody Questionable

The Baltimore Ravens wrapped up their practices on Friday in preparation of their Sunday night game at Heinz field against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Below is the final practice injury report for the week. Cornerback Jimmy Smith (abdomen) was ruled out earlier in the week after having hernia surgery. He will be replaced by Corey Graham, who will start opposite Cary Williams. ...

Ravens WR Torrey Smith Tweets Renegade Lyrics

It took until Friday, but now it really does feel like Steelers-Ravens week after Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Torrey Smith took to Twitter Friday afternoon to tweet a few lyrics from the song Renegade. An hour later Smith took his foot off the gas a little by tweeting, "That place goes nuts when they play that song....gotta love big games in great football environments"...

Ray Lewis gave the Clemson football team a pregame speech (VIDEO)

Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis gave the Clemson football team a pregame speech before yesterday’s match up against NC State. Lewis’ speech must have done wonders because Clemson won 62-48.   var _CI = _CI || {}; (function() { var script = document.createElement('script'); ref = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; _CI.counter = (_CI.counter) ...

If Flacco Throws 35 Or More Passes, Ravens Win?

By Jeremy Hritz We are only hours away from the first Steelers/Ravens matchup of the 2012 season, and the anticipation is out of control. While much of the attention this week has been on the quarterback position of the Steelers regarding the injury to Ben Roethlisberger and the subsequent anointing of Byron Leftwich as temporary starter, it cannot be ignored that Joe Flacco has...

Ravens beat Steelers, 13-10, despite valiant effort by Byron Leftwich...

Byron played his heart (and his right rib cage) out in this one, but the Baltimore defense prevailed...           When the Ravens won here last year, Joe Flacco threw a game-winning, 26-yard TD pass to Torrey Smith with eight seconds on the clock. This time? "We won by taking a safe sack," Ravens coach John Harbaugh said inside...

Baltimore Ravens at Pittsburgh Steelers: Three Bold Predictions

The Black and Blue division certainly seems to have a lot of bruises this year. The Bengals are experiencing a sophomore slump and appear to be out of the division race, while the Browns have once again drafted a quarterback who isn't going to automatically make them contenders. The two Super Bowl contenders in the division keep getting hurt, losing essential players while fighting...

Ravens 13, Steelers 10

PITTSBURGH -- The Baltimore Ravens took control of the AFC North race Sunday night by doing one of the things they do best -- winning inside the division. The Ravens used Jacoby Jones' punt-return touchdown, two field goals and a strong defensive effort to edge the Pittsburgh Steelers 13-10 at Heinz Field. Baltimore improved to 8-2 and took a two-game lead over Pittsburgh...

Sunday Night Preview (7-2) Baltimore Ravens vs (6-3) Pittsburgh Steelers

The Sunday night game features one of my favorite rivalries in sports in the Baltimore Ravens and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Unfortunately in this one, it is not going to be “what it could be” as the Steelers super star quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will be watching the game from the sidelines in this one. In gambling, quarterbacks are the main position that moves the betting...

Ravens shut down Leftwich, Steelers

Jacoby Jones returned a punt for a touchdown, Justin Tucker kicked two field goals and the Baltimore Ravens took control of the AFC North with a 13-10 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday night.

Ravens Outlast Resilient Steelers 13-10

Most Steelers fans weren't giving the team a shot during the first of two bouts against the Baltimore Ravens in the next 3 weeks. The Steelers were without 3 Pro Bowlers: Ben Roethlsiberger, Troy Polamalu and Antonio Brown. The Ravens were coming off a dynamite performance last week and have a healthy Joe Flacco/Ray Rice combination that has given the Steelers fits. Pittsburgh...

Ravens beat Steelers 13-10

What a hard-hitting game that was. A battle for AFC North supremacy came down to a tight fourth quarter. The Ravens prevailed 13-10 over the Pittsburgh Steelers Sunday night and increased their division lead to two games. Baltimore has now won 12 consecutive games inside the AFC North.
