Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco brushed aside criticism from teammate Ed Reed, calling it no big deal.

Reed, a perennial Pro Bowl safety and former NFL Defensive Player of the Year, caused a stir during a radio interview Monday when he was Flacco was "kind of rattled" during Baltimore's 20-13 victory over the Houston Texans in Sunday's AFC divisional playoff game.

Flacco, the only quarterback to lead his team to the playoffs in each of his first four seasons, admitted that the comments caught him "off-guard" but said he talked with Reed and considered it a non-issue.

“We talked about it. It’s not really that big of a deal," Flacco said. "When I first saw it, I was like, ‘What’s going on?’ But like I said, we talked about it. We’re a team around here. It’s not really that big of an issue. I don’t really take things that bad. It is what it is.”

Reed told ESPN that there was a "method to his madness" and said his remarks were "motivation to prove me wrong."

Flacco completed 14 of 27 passes for 176 yards and two touchdowns, but he was sacked five times by the Texans.

Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said he spoke to Reed about his comments.

"I think the message he was trying to communicate was a good message," Harbaugh said. "But obviously … the way you read them and stuff like that, I’m sure he’s not too happy about that.”

The Ravens have more pressing matters than Reed's critiques, namely a date with the New England Patriots on Sunday in the AFC Championship Game.
