Baltimore Sun:
The Ravens withdrew the restricted free agent tenders to wide receiver Marcus Smith and running back Jalen Parmele, which creates more salary cap room for the team.
Both were scheduled to make $1.2 million as restricted free agents. It is believed both signed for the veteran minimum ($685,000) when the offers were withdrawn. Those two moves combined would open up an additional $1 million.
Smith, a fourth-round pick in 2008, has been a solid special teams player. Parmele, who was signed off Miami's practice squad in December 2008, averaged 31.4 yards on kickoffs in 2009 and finished third with 12 special teams tackles last season.
