The hits just keep on coming for the Ravens. Of course a lot of them are self-inflicted.
The team released strong safety Bernard Pollard, according to the player’s Twitter feed. Pollard spent two seasons in Baltimore and played the role of a big hitter in the Ravens’ defensive backfield.
However, Pollard is also a liability in pass coverage.
The Ravens are now down at least half of their starting secondary from opening day 2012.
In other news, the team officially announced the signing of defensive end Chris Canty, offensive guard Ramon Harewood and running back Damien Berry.
