The Baltimore Ravens have signed nose tackle Ryan McBean, adding him to a corps that includes recently-acquired defensive tackle Maake Kemoeatu. McBean spent the last three seasons with the Denver Broncos and is coming off a career season that included 19 tackles and four sacks. During his time in Denver, McBean played in 46 games and registered 77 tackles, four sacks and one fumble recovery. He was handed a six-game suspension in March for violating the leagues performance-enhancement policy, but he disputes the claim.

Ravens sign nose tackle McBean
The Baltimore Ravens have signed nose tackle Ryan McBean, adding depth to their defensive line. McBean, 28, had 33 tackles and four sacks in 2011 for the Broncos. He had been a restricted free agent, but the Broncos rescinded the offer on April 16, making him an unrestricted free agent. Originally a fourth-round pick of the Steelers in 2007, McBean played just one game for the...

The Baltimore Ravens and veteran safety Bernard Pollard agreed to a three-year contract extension on Tuesday, according to Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com. Pollard, 27, was due to become an unrestricted at the end of the 2012 season, but his deal will keep him in the Charm City through the 2015 season. Originally, the Ravens thought [...]
Broncos may end up dumping Knowshon Moreno
Bill Williamson of ESPN.com believes there’s a good chance that the Denver Broncos could end up moving on from running back Knowshon Moreno after an utterly disappointing career so far.
This past season Moreno tore his ACL, which is clearly not good for any NFL player, nevermind a running back. He’s also had some off the field problems that have led to him being arrested.
When...

(AP Photo/Ed Andrieski)
The Denver Broncos may not use Derek Wolfe — who was selected 36th overall in the 2012 NFL Draft — solely as a defensive tackle this season. A rotational role for Wolfe appears to be more likely.
On Monday, Stuart Zaas mentioned Wolfe as a defensive end on the team’s official website and Wolfe is listed as a defensive lineman on the team’s official...

Denver Broncos Fire GM Xanders
The Denver Broncos have fired GM Brian Xanders.
Fantasy Spin:
Xanders held the GM position in Denver since 2009, and will not be around to see the AFC West club defend their division title with prized offseason acquisition Peyton Manning under center. He will likely find another job in the NFL, and does have ties to Chicago GM Phil Emery (through their time spent together in the...

Ravens sign fifth-rounder Jackson
With very little negotiation going on with draft picks these days, NFL teams are able to agree quickly with their incoming rookies.
Today, according to the Carroll County Times, the Ravens agreed to sign fifth-round pick Asa Jackson.
Jackson, 5-foot-10 and 190 pounds, is a speedy defensive back/returner out of Cal Poly.
Denver Broncos’ rushing attack will go from first to worst under Manning
Let’s face it. Low rushing totals are a byproduct of the pass-friendly league that is now the NFL. Teams pass so much now that it seems like they sometimes forget to run the ball. This is especially true of teams that have a signal-caller the quality of a Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers or a Drew Brees. Manning who usually called his own plays as quarterback of the Indianapolis...
Draft Grades: Baltimore Ravens
Sometimes it feels like the Baltimore Ravens can do no wrong on draft day. Everything Ozzie Newsome touches turns to gold this time of year. How often does a team trade out of the 1st round and still end up with one of the players they were targeting?
The Ravens would have been happy to make Courtney Upshaw a 1st-rounder, but instead they move back and still snag him in the early...
