The second AFC Playoff game of the weekend between the Baltimore Ravens and the Houston Texans was a great battle from beginning to end.  With any great battle, there are is a winner and a loser, and a champ and a chump.

Champ of the Game
Hats off to Ladarius Webb who came up with two of the three Interceptions for the Ravens today, but the true Champ of the game was the entire Ravens Defense. The Ravens offense certainly didn't light things up today with a total of 11 first downs and nine punts, but the defense picked off rookie QB TJ Yates three times and gave the offense the field position that they needed to emerge with a 20 - 13 victory.  The victory wasn't all that impressive for the Ravens, and they will certainly need to step things up next week if they expect to compete with the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship Game next weekend.  Tom Brady and the Patriots won't make nearly as many mistakes as the Texans did today, and if Flacco is forced to keep pace scoring with Brady the Patriots Defense will be the ones doing the intercepting.

Chump of the Game
I hate to do this to a rookie QB after his first playoff loss, but TJ Yates was certainly the Chump of the Game.  Yates showed his inexperience with his three interceptions, but at least he went down swinging.  The Texans should be able to build on their playoff experience this year, especially with Matt Schaub back under center next year, and Yates has shown that he definitely has a place with the Texans as a backup for now, and eventually should get another chance as a starter, either for Houston or as a free agent.  The Texans overall played a very solid game, especially as the road team and provided that they can get and stay healthy next year they seem poised to make another playoff run again next year.
