Polk Audio has branched out into the world of NFL endorsement.
The Baltimore-based company has signed former University of Maryland wide receiver and current Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Torrey Smith to an endorsement deal. Under the deal, Smith will endorse UltraFit Sports and UltraFocus Noise-canceling headphones.
“It’s a big time for Torrey as a great emerging talent and a big time for our brand as we continue to make waves in the headphones space,” Ben Newhall, a Polk Audio senior vice president, said in a statement. (via Baltimore Business Journal/Sports Business Daily)
Terms of Smith's deal were not disclosed.
Although this is Polk Audio's first foray into the world of NFL endorsement, they are familiar with athlete-endorsers, as they already have Memphis Grizzlies forward Rudy Gay and U.S. Womens Soccer National Team player Heather Mitts on their endorsement roster, among others.
Anxious fans can expect to see Smith endorsing Polk Audio products fairly soon; he is scheduled to shoot an advertisement in a few weeks.
