Found March 04, 2013 on NFL Trade Rumors:
Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun writes that even with a new contract in place for QB Joe Flacco, the Ravens are aren’t expected to use their franchise on any of their impending free agents. The deadline of course is Monday at 4PM ET. Flacco’s contract was structured so that they’ll have additional cap space to work with, but there’s still a good chance that they’ll lose both OLB Paul Kruger and CB Cary Williams during free agency. “It’s really practically impossible,” salary-cap expert. “The Ravens wouldn’t be able to tender their restricted free agents and sign Flacco and accommodate a franchise tag. They just don’t have the cap room.” Baltimore is believed to be focused on re-signing ILB Dannell Ellerbe and S Ed Reed, but we’ll have to see how things play out in the coming days before we have a better idea if it’s actually an option. Ed Reed can’t see himself anywhere else but Baltimore

Baltimore Ravens safety Ed Reed to NFL AM on the NFL Network that he still hasn’t spoken with the Ravens about a new contract and that he can’t see himself playing anywhere else. Ray Rice Is One Of The Good Ones, Takes On Bullying

Ray Rice of the Baltimore Ravens just went up another few notches in my book. There is not much that needs to be said that Ray didn’t already say in a recent Facebook post regarding a young kid who just passed away due to a tragic bullying incident. I’m with Ray in how I can;t understand how incidents like this are still happening, but hopefully some awareness will come out of...

Does Joe Flacco Deserve To Be The Highest Paid Player Ever?

First I want to say that I’m happy for Joe Flacco and the Baltimore Ravens for their Super Bowl victory and for both sides coming to terms on a long-term deal. I’m a big fan for players getting paid and receiving the contract that they’ve worked hard for. But I’ve been thinking real hard lately if the Ravens made a big mistake giving Flacco that kind of money and making him...
