PLAYERS: Ray Rice
TEAMS: Baltimore Ravens
According to the Baltimore Sun, the Ravens aren't planning to dramatically alter how they divide up the playing time between Ray Rice and Bernard Pierce.Fantasy Spin:Pierce rushed for 532 yards on 108 carries last season, an average of 6.75 carries per game. He's expected to get more playing time this season, but not enough to alter Rice's fantasy value much in 2013.

Previewing the Ravens: A Look at Baltimore’s Safeties

CHECK OUT FOOTBALL AND FUTBOL’S BOOKSTORE Last year Baltimore was always about Ray Lewis and Ed Reed; they were the heart and soul of the team, especially on the defensive side of the ball.  For the first time, the offense did most of the work last season, and it resulted in a Super Bowl victory.  Lewis and Reed clearly weren’t as effective, and now they won’t even be on...

Previewing the Ravens: Cornerbacks – A Tight Competition

CHECK OUT FOOTBALL AND FUTBOL’S BOOKSTORE Last year the Ravens suffered major injuries to their starting cornerbacks but this year they have plenty of talent and great depth that could cause for a great competition leading into the season.  The starting CBs are up in the air with Webb rehabbing and a tight battle between Smith and Graham.  Lardarius Webb hasn’t fully returned...

Previewing the Ravens: Baltimore’s Coaching Staff – The Real Harbaugh and Company

The Ravens is a respectable organization with strong leadership, which starts with the GM and the head coach.  Since Harbaugh’s arrival he has changed the culture of Baltimore most beloved team with discipline, success and principles.  In1983, John Elway said he would rather be a garbage man than play for Baltimore.  Yes, it was when they were the Colts, but it was still...

Previewing the Ravens: A Look at Baltimore’s Special Teams

Similar to the quarterbacks, these special teams players have clearly defined roles.  Justin Tucker, Sam Koch and Morgan Cox are all excellent in what they do, and they get along really well.  Last season, was yet another successful year for Koch, as he averaged the seventh-best net yards per punt mark in the league.  His most important play of the year was when he purposely took...

And that’s the extent of celebrity gossip discussion on this site tonight. Not going to waste any more of your...

Why Ravens focus on neck strength training...

Something I had rarely thought about as a factor in overall strength training and conditioning for an NFL player is neck strength. Then Sarah Ellison of Ravens.com wrote a piece over the weekend on the Ravens' team strength and conditioning coach Bob Rogucki. Scientific research suggests that a muscular neck can reduce the impact generated when a player is hit in...

Everybody Loves Vonta Leach--Or Do They?

The true fullback is a dying breed in the NFL. It's something that is a little surprising when you consider the benefit they have to the running game as a lead blocker not to mention as a blocking back or short yardage threat in the passing game. But that is the way of the game these days. That does not mean that there are not still quality fullbacks out there. Some teams...
