Ray Lewis might not win the Super Bowl for the Baltimore Ravens during the final game of his career.

He might not even have a lot to do with it.  He might be the leading tackler, or he may simply be the emotional leader he’s been during the final few months of his career.

But don’t believe for a minute, that although this is Joe Flacco’s team, this is anything but Lewis’s game.

Ray Lewis says retirement billboard motivated him against Patriots

If Ray Lewis was searching for bulletin board material prior to the Baltimore Ravens’ win over the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship Game, he didn’t have to look very hard to find it. The billboard you see above was the brainchild of a Massachusetts billboard company last week. Obviously, it was inaccurate. Lewis’ career did not end in Foxboro, and he says the billboard...

Stories to focus on besides Harbowl and Ray Lewis (and why those 2 stories aren’t that interesting)

Last year, after the Eagles and Falcons seasons went approximately nowhere, I was one of the ones rooting for a Harbowl. The thought of two teams with physical defenses playing each other was too tempting for me to resist. This year, I get my wish, although I’m less happy about it because this was supposed to be my Falcons’ year. But this year the matchup is also more exciting...

Ray Lewis’ emotional post-game interview (Video)

ESPN’s Sal Paolantonio caught up with Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis  after tonight’s AFC Championship victory over the Patriots. As you can see, Lewis was very emotional since the Super Bowl will be his final NFL game.   Need NFL Tickets? var _CI = _CI || {}; (function() { var script = document.createElement('script'); ref = document.getElementsByTagName...

Ray Lewis’ First Career Sack Was Against Jim Harbaugh

Greatest NFL coincidence of all time? Ray Lewis will be playing his last game pitted against the man who he got his first career sack off–49ers coach Jim Harbaugh. 17 years ago, back when Reverend Ray was still just  in proverbial Sunday school, he got his first career sack off 33-year-old Colts Quarterback Jim Harbaugh. NFL.com dug up the almost too awesome to believe stat...

Wes Welker’s Wife Slams Ray Lewis In Facebook Rant

The following Facebook rant appears to be another case of a wife of a NFL player getting a bit heated while defending her man’s honor. Anna Burns, Wes Welker’s wife, took to facebook to express her subtle dislike of the Ravens and especially Ray Lewis. We will let the post speak for itself. Patriots Wes Welker’s wife Anna Burns apologizes for Facebook comments about Ray Lewis

Anna Burns, the wife of Patriots receiver Wes Welker took to Facebook on Sunday to express her unhappiness at the adoration being showered on Baltimore Ravens, Ray Lewis. Of course her beef comes after the Pats lost to the Ravens in the AFC Championship game.    “Proud of my husband and the Pats. By the way, if anyone is bored, please go to Ray Lewis’ Wikipedia page. 6...

Torrey Smith: ‘Ray Lewis Is Not The Only Guy On Team’

Ray can’t do it all Juan… The way the media give Ray Lewis, you would think he is the only one that matters on the Ravens.  Joe Flacco could of thrown for 400 yards and 5 TDs on Sunday and the Ravens’ players sound like they are just as sick of the all Ray Lewis talk.  Here is what Torrey Smith had to say: “We wanted to be here before (Lewis) said he wanted to retire,...

Michael Phelps credits Ray Lewis for his decision to compete in 2012 Olympics

Michael Phelps was on the sidelines and in the locker room with the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday night as they defeated the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship Game. Phelps, a Maryland native and avid Ravens fan, took part in the team’s postgame celebration. In an interview with Yahoo! Sports after Baltimore punched its ticket to New Orleans, Phelps talked about some of...

Steve Bisciotti Is Super Creepy

That’s a very sensual rub the Ravens owner gave to Ray Lewis’ stabbing arm during the post-game interviews. Downright creepy to be honest. Fitting, since Steve Bisciotti has a creepy guy haircut. Maybe the rub was because Ray-Ray was wearing an Art Modell shirt after the game. Bisciotti was feeling a little neglected with all the love being shown to the dead guy who shanghaied...

Super BRAH!

"I've always had the prettier boner." And here we are.  The ************* HarBOWL.  ******* gag me already.  Any human rooting for the Ravens in this situation can get their dick ripped out at the root.  The vision of Ray Lewis hoisting another Super Bowl trophy over his head is enough to make...

Ravens band together in special run

They took over Gillette Stadium as if it was their own. Fresh off a 28-13 victory over New England in the AFC Championship game, the Baltimore Ravens stuck around to celebrate. Exuberant inside linebacker Ray Lewis jumped into the arms of fullback Vonta Leach. Running back Ray Rice and wide receiver Torrey Smith did the Lambeau Leap into a crowd of several hundred Ravens fans who...

Super Bowl Betting: Odds favor 49ers over Ravens

If anyone thinks the Baltimore Ravens feel slighted by being underdogs on the Super Bowl odds menu, think again. Baltimore just won outright on the road as a 9-point underdog at Denver and then as an 8-point underdog at New England. Getting 4.5 points (bet down to 4 points early in the week according to the NFL odds menu at OddsShark.com) just makes it easier. Online sportsbooks...

Cleveland Frowns Super Bowl Party at Map Room sponsored by Jim Beam, and Cheddar Bay Biscuits

This year, we’re bringing some symmetry to the Frowns social calendar with a Super Bowl party at Gillespies’ Map Room on East 9th Street just north of St. Clair. Of course, it probably won’t be as exciting as our annual NFL draft party because there’s only one Super Bowl for Browns fans. But it should still be a lot of fun: A place for you to meet and/or congregate with other...
