The Pittsbrugh Steelers' LaMarr Woodley was pretty upset over Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice's perceived desecration of the the vaunted Steelers "Terrible Towel", and made it known on Twitter: "If youre not a steelers fan, dont put your hands on a terrible towel" @LaMarrWoodley, Nov. 19th Ray Rice says he didn't mean any disrespect, and rather than going back and forth with Woodley, he explained and apologized. “I apologize to those who saw it as disrespectful. For me, I thought it was a pretty cool gesture, exchanging my gloves with a fan and walking out with it.

The Ravens need to build some distance from the Steelers now that they're down. Week 12 preview.

If the Ravens can't put some distance between themselves and the Steelers while Big Ben is out, they won't be able to go anywhere this postseason. After going a red hot 13-1 in week 11, I went 2-1 on Thanksgiving day.  For the season that makes it 106-57.  I'm still in striking distance of .750 for the season. Let's take a look at week 12. Minnesota at...

Reed situation shows NFL dilemma

Left to walk after nine years by the Baltimore Ravens last offseason, San Diego Chargers linebacker Jarrett Jones has reason to stick it to his former club when the two teams meet on Sunday. Yet even he felt the since-overturned one-game suspension against Ravens safety Ed Reed was extreme. "I thought it was totally BS that they were going to suspend him without pay,"...

Ray Rice sorry for Terrible Towel stunt

The Ravens running back expressed regret for draping a Terrible Towel over his head following a win over Pittsburgh, saying, "I apologize to those who saw it as disrespectful."

Reed relieved suspension overturned, defends play

With his one-game suspension for repeated illegal hits overturned, Baltimore Ravens free safety Ed Reed expressed gratitude for arbitrator Ted Cottrell granting his appeal and to his organization and teammates for throwing their support behind him. Reed wasn't nearly as warm, though, about the fact that he was punished for what the league described as a pattern of helmet-to...

Week Twelve Fantasy Football Rankings

Week Twelve Fantasy Football Rankings Ray Rice is a top three option overall this week as the Ravens square off against a Chargers team that has been struggling as of late. We expect the Ravens to be protecting a lead in this one and thus giving Ray a lot of work. Jimmy Graham is finally showing returns on the early pick his fantasy owners had to spend to get him on their roster...

Baltimore Ravens: Week 12 NFL Power Rankings (#7)

Last week: 7 (+0) Record: 8-2 The Ravens are 8-2, but I’m still not sold. They’re only +61 in points differential and most of that came from two wins against Cincinnati and crappy Oakland. They’re 6-1 in games decided by a touchdown or less and they haven’t had a particularly tough schedule. They could have easily lost to Pittsburgh last week if Charlie Batch had stepped...

Ray Rice apologizes for terrible towel incident

The other night after the Ravens beat the Steelers, Baltimore running back Ray Rice walked off the field with the “terrible towel” on his head. Steelers linebacker LaMarr Woodley warned Rice on Twitter to not disrespect the towel. Rice has come out and made it clear that he never meant to disrespect the towel. “I actually asked a fan to trade like I’ve been trading jerseys...

Expect the Baltimore Ravens road woes to continue as they travel coast to coast to take on the Chargers

Each week we take a look at those games where the public is really strongly backing one team over another and try to point out some flaws in that logic. This week, the biggest standout is the Ravens travelling on the road, coast to coast to face the Chargers. Baltimore has struggled away from home and that should continue this week; take the jump to find out why.

Pick of the week: Ravens (-1) at Chargers

Are the Ravens the league's most underrated team? It sure seems that way. After a rash of injuries knocked out a pair of starters on the defensive side of the ball, Baltimore was left for dead.  So while everyone turned away, Flacco and the still stout defensive unit have put together a quietly elite performance through ten games. Sure missing Ray Lewis in the...

Steelers Offensive Line Breakdown – Baltimore Ravens – Week 11

Below is the week 11 offensive line breakdown for the Pittsburgh Steelers loss to the Baltimore Ravens Sunday night. I think it was pretty obvious to anyone that watched the game that this was not a great performance over all by the Steelers offensive line. There were several demerits handed out in both the pass and run blocking departments with pass protection being the worst...

Baltimore Ravens at San Diego Chargers: Week 12 NFL Pick

Baltimore Ravens (8-2) at San Diego Chargers (4-6) The Chargers haven’t beaten a team other than the Chiefs since week 2, when they beat the Titans, who aren’t exactly great either and then before that they beat Oakland. Why would anyone pick them to beat the Ravens? Well, that seems to be the public sentiment this week as the public is pounding Baltimore as small road favorites...

Ravens-Chargers Preview

There's no question that the Baltimore Ravens are the better - and hotter - team in Sunday's road matchup with the San Diego Chargers. Still, overconfidence shouldn't be a problem after what transpired last season. With revenge in the back of their minds and star safety Ed Reed available, the Ravens seek a fourth straight win against a Chargers team teetering on the...
