Hello Razzballers. We have made it through another regular season and somehow lived to tell about it. It was touch and go there for a while though. Chris Johnson, Peyton Manning, Jamaal Charles, and quite a few others dashed our hopes against the fantasy rocks but some other beacons of hope floated out to save us in our time of need like Cam “Superman” Newton, Victor Cruz “Missile”, and Marshawn “Beast Mug” Lynch. Through the ups and downs we learned a little bit about ourselves and grew our hearts 10 times their normal sizes. Wait, scratch that last part. So here we are decompressing but we also need a little bit of a chaser to help wean us off of some fake football buzzes and depressions. So I’ve put together a group over at ESPN because we might as well use that crappy entity for our own devices. And I am and we shall. The winner of this league will win this thingamajig right below here: Yes, it is awesome. You can purchase it here if you feel so inclined. If you would like to w...

Colts Owner Doesn’t Know If Peyton Manning Will Play Again

During Monday’s press conference that formally announced the dismissal of both vice chairman Bill Polian and general manager Chris Polian, Colts owner Jim Irsay indicated that he doesn’t know if quarterback Peyton Manning will be able to ever play again. Irsay strongly suggested that the Colts will draft a quarterback in April,  by saying that [...]

Vote: What Should Colts Do With Peyton Manning, No. 1 Pick?

One of the best to ever play his position, or a "surefire" youngster that could keep your franchise contending for the next decade -- which do you choose? That's the decision facing the Indianapolis Colts right now, as they have to choose between keeping Peyton Manning or drafting Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck. They could keep Manning and draft Luck, of course, but...

Manning 'surprised and shocked' at firings

Peyton Manning said he was "surprised, shocked [and] disappointed" at the firing of Colts vice chairman Bill Polian and general manager Chris Polian. The father and son were let go by owner Jim Irsay on Monday afternoon, a day after the Colts closed out an abysmal 2-14 season -- without their franchise quarterback -- with a 19-13 loss at Jacksonville. Manning, sidelined...

Colts owner Jim Irsay is upset Peyton Manning took his complaints public this week. Indianapolis Colts Owner Jim Irsay Cleans House – What to Make of it

The Indianapolis Colts have fired team vice chairman Bill Polian and his son, Chris, the Colts’ general manager — a decision that left franchise quarterback Peyton Manning “stunned.” Owner Jim Irsay announced the moves Monday, one day after the team finished the year 2-14 without Manning. Coach Jim Caldwell was retained, but Irsay said that evaluation was still ongoing...

What should the Colts do with Manning?

By Jim Donaldson Peyton Manning will be 36 on March 24th. Tom Brady will turn 35 in August. So it's not as if Manning is over the hill. But, having sat out this season following what was a third operation in two years to repair disk problems in his neck, Manning's Hall of Fame-worthy career in Indianapolis should now be over. Prior to this...

When the Saints Go Marching . . . Watch Out San Francisco

It is hard to deny how well the New Orleans Saints’ are playing right now. The dark horse with the fleur-de-lis might not have landed that 2nd place NFC slot but should have no trouble reaching the divisional playoffs. This is a team that hasn’t lost a game since October (currently an eight game winning streak) and has won all games since their Week 11 bye, helmed by the record...
