Dawg Pound Daily:
The Browns lost free agent running back Jason Wright to the Arizona Cardinals yesterday. He signed a two-year contract and will replace the void left by J.J. Arrington. To be honest…it doesn’t matter. He was extremely underutilized in the offense and I have always been a bigger Jerome Harrison fan, who is even more underutilized. However, Wright and Harrison do represent the growing trend on NFL teams to feature two backs with varying speeds and abilities - “Smash and Dash,” if you will. Harrison could be the Dash, but apparently, no one seems to care.
There has been plenty of talk that the Browns will look to draft a running back in the second round of the upcoming NFL Draft. While I would like to see Harrison get some more playing time, that will probably not happen until Jamal Lewis is gone.
