Jason Avant has made it clear he stands behind his comments about the fans and will not apologize. We broke it down today on Broad Street Radio as well, and we are still confused as to what in the world Jason Avant was thinking.

A comment left on Eliot Shorr-Parks' post earlier today, really spoke for a lot of people so we thought it was worth sharing with everyone. The comment was left by Average_Joseph, and it was titled "Open Letter to Mr. Jason Avant."

Open letter to Mr. Jason Avant:

I am 49 years old; I have been an Eagles fan for as long as I can remember. I was an Eagles fan before you were here and I will be an Eagles fan long after you have moved on. You, Mr. Avant, like so many players wear the uniform of my favorite team but you are a paid mercenary. When your contract is up, you may decide to go elsewhere, don another uniform, that is your prerogative but I will still be rooting for the Philadelphia Eagles. But how dare you tell me or any fan, of any team, how to react. Your teammates and you, for the first part of this season, stunk! If you can’t handle criticism then I suggest another line of work. Please don't forget that it is we the fans, who pay your salary: through ticket sales, merchandise purchases and patronizing television sponsors. I am sure at Michigan you were taught how the free market place works, my advice to you is, pull out you old text books and refresh yourself with those concepts. Or check with you agent, I’m sure he is familiar with the marketplace. Oh and finally, I don't tell you how to run a seam route; please don't tell me how to be a fan! And I am sorry to say this, and I’m sure it will upset you, but I will continue to root for the Eagles, but sir, not for you.
