The following is an actual conversation that took place at a Cleveland-area grocery store yesterday, between grocery store produce specialist (GSPS) and a proprietor of a phenomenal Cleveland sports website (PoPCSW):
PoPCSW (can’t find big package of spinach on store shelf, sees GSPS unloading boxes): “Excuse me, Sir, do you have any of the big packages of spinach in those boxes?”
GSPS (looks in boxes for big packages of spinach): “No not up here but let me go get them from the back.”
GSPS (goes in back, comes back with box full of big packages of spinach): “You’re lucky you’re wearing a Browns hat. If you were wearing a Steelers hat I wouldn’t have gotten these for you.” (Guy is dead serious).
PoPCSW (scoffs): “Pfff. If I was a Steelers fan I wouldn’t be asking you for any spinach, because Steelers fans only eat corpses of their cousins who they kill after they get bored with sexually abusing them.”
GSPS (pauses, still, dead serious does not even crack a smile

The Cleveland Browns have a very high profile team president in Mike Holmgren. His handle is “The Big Show,” though he actually isn’t the most important of the Browns’ decision makers.

Middle linebacker embracing role as spoilerWith the Cleveland Browns assured of their fourth consecutive sub-.500 campaign and their eighth in the past nine years, it might be surmised that the Browns have nothing left to play for with just two regular-season games remaining against the Ravens on Christmas Eve and the Pittsburgh Steelers on New Year’s Day.
The NFL is changing how it handles concussion examinations after Browns quarterback Colt McCoy went back into a Dec. 8 game without being tested for one.
