MICHAEL BENNETT: As long as we’re digging up old players, I may as well post that Michael Bennett (the old running back, not the current defensive end) was signed by the Oakland Raiders. Bennett, formerly with the San Diego Chargers, accepted a one-year deal, according to a source. The 31-year-old Bennett will be joining his sixth team. The story says they’re using the move to add depth, but they seem like they’ve got a bunch of depth already. Darren McFadden, Michael Bush, Rock Cartwright and now Bennett, plus some undrafted rookie from last year. Maybe they’re just building up the roster for training camp, but it seems like they could have done it cheaper than that.
