TEAMS: Seattle Seahawks, Tennessee Titans
A short while ago word came across the NFL news wire that all of us Seattle Seahawks fans wanted to hear.
Red Bryant has re-signed with the Seattle Seahawks for 5 years, $35 million, including $14.5 million guaranteed.
In 2011 Red played in 16 games, had 2 interceptions, 20 tackles, 1 TD, 1 sack, and a handful of blocked kicks becoming one of the Seahawks best players on defense.
He was a must sign.
This is a huge signing for Pete Carroll and John Schneider. Its always important to keep your own guys when building a team in the mold you want.

Big Red Bryant Signs with Seattle. He's Back!
Carroll altered the career path of Big Red Bryant by moving him from defensive tackle to defensive end in his 4-3 schem and made him a run blocker.
Red is a guy coveted around the league by a lot of teams. New England and New Orleans were rumored to want him.
This deal will average over 7 million dollars per year over 5 seasons.
He’s a great strong side end, he can handle the run, and he’s all ours Seahawks fans.
Position Defensive End
Height 6’4″
Weight 323 lbs
Birthdate April 18, 1984
Birthplace Gavelston Co, Texas
College Texas A&M
Earlier today we posted an article talking about the Seahawks D-line. We noted Red Bryant is a guy with 4 years experience who loves the team, the city and the fans but has an agent and possibly an ego telling him that he can get a lot more money than the Seahawks have offered.
After testing the market I think he found out that he is more valuable in Seattle than he is anywhere else. We thought he’d re-sign, and he did.
Red has averaged 2 tackles per game during his career. He’ll now have the chance to improve those numbers and get himself to a pro bowl.
Congrats Big Red.
Look for the Seahawks to still possibly look to get Jason Jones on board from the Titans later today. Never anything wrong with a more improved interior pass rush.
