Image via Redskins.com It’s been a while since the Washington Redskins have been in the NFL Playoffs. In fact, 2007 was the last year the franchise had any postseason appearance, so when they beat the Dallas Cowboys last week to secure their 2012 Division Title it felt good for the franchise that in recent years struggled. In 2007, Redskins DE Adam Carriker was entering his rookie season as a member of the St. Louis Rams, and that year the Redskins finished third in the NFC East, but they made the Playoffs as a Wildcard team. That was the last time they saw the postseason, as the Seahawks smoked them with a final score of 35-14. This week, the Seahawks head to Washington as the Wildcard team, and Carriker is looking for a different outcome from the team, although he won’t be on the field due to the Redskins placing him on IR in September. Instead of taking shots at his upcoming opponents, he spoke out on Twitter, taking jabs at the Giants, Cowboys and Eagles. Via ProFootballTalk.com He won’t be playing in the game, but he made it worthwhile on Twitter. Fans of rival Giants, Cowboys and Eagles fans probably weren’t too happy that he did that, but the Redskins have every right to claim what is theirs – the 2012 NFC East Title. The tweet was later deleted, however. His mentions probably blew up within seconds after posting!
