Washington Redskins: Season Preview, Analysis and Predictions

The millennium has not been kind to the Washington Redskins and their fans, delivering seven losing seasons and just two playoff appearances since 2000. With some big acquisitions this offseason and a dedicated coaching staff striving to create a competitive football team, things are certainly headed in a more promising direction. This April, the Redskins gave up the farm to acquire...

Chris Cooley On Redskin RBs

Don’t ask me Juan… Chris Cooley may not be with the Redskins player anymore, but even when he was with the team he had no idea who the starting RB was week to week. One week just like all of us, he fully expected Ryan Torain to be the starter. He even put him in his fantasy starting lineup. “I walked up to (Ryan) Torain in the locker room and said, ‘Dude, you’re starting...

The Washington Redskins 2012 roster and depth chart: The offense

After an intense preseason roster battle filled with surprises, disappointments, and of course injuries, the Washington Redskins have finally released the roster and depth chart for the season opener. As we know, the depth chart is subject to change and review on a weekly basis, as each player now has to prove themselves in the regular season. But for now, this is how it stands....

It’s Just a Cut

The NFL just saw its final 53-man roster cuts for the 2012 season and as with every year there are several players in the wake of this carnage that many fans respond to with one simple word, “Really?!” We may hold certain places in our hearts for that undrafted free agent who flashed moments of brilliance at the college level or maybe it’s the veteran who has been with the...

Redskins yet to unleash full RG3 experience

If Robert Griffin III were a movie, then his impressive preseason action would amount to a sneak peek trailer. In other words, the best is yet to come. On Monday, the Sporting News posted a mini profile on Griffin, explaining how he’s appeared decisive in the pocket, agile enough to make plays on his own, and demonstrated an infectiously positive work ethic. Basically, the No....

Morgan: RG3 is fast as Vick, smart as Brady, throws like Peyton

Washington Redskins wide receiver Josh Morgan thinks rookie QB Robert Griffin III has the entire package (Credit: AP Photo) After just a short amount of practices and pre-season games, Redskins receiver Josh Morgan has been impressed with rookie quarterback Robert Griffin III. Morgan thinks Griffin can be the best running quarterback in the league, the best passer in the league...

Is Crezdon Butler the answer to the Redskins secondary woes?

It made sense that the Washington Redskins would pluck a defensive back, Crezdon Butler, to fill the 53rd spot on the final roster. Butler filled the slot that S Tanard Jackson would have had he not been suspended indefinitely for violation of the league's substance abuse policy. Jackson made some noise this offseason as the most competent free safety, a potential contributor...

KSK 2012 NFL Prekkake: Washington Redskins

The Redskins went into last season envisioning John Beck as a starting quarterback. It’s true. An NFL team actually did this of their own volition. Shockingly enough, it didn’t quite work out. The Sex Cannon was allowed to unleash the dragon. While this led to many a pregnant Virginian, it didn’t make for many wins. Forever the Offseason Champs, the ‘Skins mortgaged their...

Offensive Line Fantasy Value of the Washington Redskins

The Redskins decided to try to end their playoff drought this year so they moved up in the Draft and took Robert Griffin III who, Coach Mike Shanahan, hopes can lead them to the promised land.  Griffin is a Heisman trophy winner but the crux of the matter is whether the ex Baylor QB can adapt to the pro style game?  He has certain intangibles that translate to the pro game but...
