Washington Redskins offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan believes that Santana Moss is ready for another highly productive season in 2012.

“Santana’s entire offseason. . . to me he came in possessed. He was ready to go,” Shanahan said. “You saw it physically, and then to see him in the meeting rooms, he’s been great. He’s been so attentive and it’s shown over to the field. The guy’s not thinking out there, he’s confident in his speed. He feels confident in his knowledge of the offense and there’s no hesitation. He’s been very exciting.”

Moss is a looking more powerful and explosive to Shanahan.

“You know, a lot of guys can lose weight by starving themselves, staying in the steam and dehydrating themselves and just getting on a scale,” Shanahan said. “Santana did it the right way. I feel he’s more powerful. He’s more explosive.”

Some people, including myself, thought that Moss would be in danger of being cut this offseason, but right now I don’t see that happening.

Santana Moss continuing to impress Redskins

Santana Moss is coming off his worst season since 2000, catching 46 passes for 584 yards and 4 touchdowns in 12 games and, on top of that, he just turned 33, which is around the age when wide receivers see their abilities fall off a cliff. This led some to speculation that the Redskins, after bringing in Pierre Garcon and Josh Morgan, would be cutting Moss and his 2.65 million dollar...

Moss, 33, ready for revival as Redskins' slot receiver

Fantasy value for Robert Griffin III, Roy Helu and other Redskins in 2012

Last season’s disappointing 5-11 record, placed the Redskins solidly in last place, within the ultra-competitive NFC East. While Washington was nestled firmly in the middle of the league with their ranking of 16th in total offense (336.7 YPG), their rushing attack finished a meager 25th overall, while averaging just 100.9 YPG. And even though the team fared better in passing...

Rams sign Rocky McIntosh

The Rams have signed free agent outside linebacker Rocky McIntosh. It’s June so there are not a lot of impact signings, if any, but this move might have any impact for the Rams.
