Washington Redskins rookie receiver Leonard Hankerson is out for the year after hurting his right hip in his first NFL 100-yard game. Hankerson dislocated the hip and tore the labrum in the fourth quarter of Sunday's 20-9 loss to Miami. The third-round pick out of Miami was making his second start.
The youth movement was in full swing Sunday as Leonard Hankerson drew rave reviews for his eight-catch, 106-yard performance in Sunday’s loss to the Miami Dolphins.
However in predictable fashion, disaster struck in the fourth quarter when Hankerson tore his labrum being tackled by a Miami defender.
That’s a crushing blow for a rookie who had steadily improved every week. Hankerson...

Mike Shanahan and the Washington Redskins set out to silence their critics against the Miami Dolphins Sunday.
While some fans inexplicably believe the Redskins’ head coach is content to lose the rest of the games on the schedule in hopes of securing [...]
ASHBURN, Va. — Redskins coach Mike Shanahan, who clumsily evoked "cardiovascular endurance" while benching Donovan McNabb a year ago, meandered his way Monday through the surprise switch from John Beck to Rex Grossman.
