Well, that was pretty much the reverse of the first quarter: this time, it wasn't as GOOD as it looked, because the Chargers are resting any number of their starting players. Which isn't to say there's nothing positive to take away from a second quarter that featured a 14 point EXPLOSION. First and foremost, it's good to see that the players haven't given up, even in the face of a season that's gone from bad to worse to even worse and straight through to borderline catastrophic. It says something about the character of the players -- and the coaches too -- that they're still putting it out on the field. Second, it enabled a couple of guys to hit solid statistical milestones. Todd Yoder, for example, set his career- high single-season touchdown record with his third. (On just his fourth catch of the year. Four catches, nine yards, three touchdowns.)
