The Washington Redskins pummeled the New York Giants 23-10.  This was a game that I would not have minded so much if the Redskins lost because that would mean the Giants and Cowboys would be tied for 1st place, but instead the Redskins play like a different team and win!  The Giants were 20 points behind until a last minute TD.  With the Cowboys beating the Bucs (wow that must have been difficult) the Giants had to win in order to stay at the top with the Cowboys.  It looked like they would easily because the first play by Rex Grossman was an underthrown interception but the Giants would go 3 and out so luckily for him no damage done. The Skins are on the board first with a FG, then Rex Grossman’s Train Rex would continue with yet another interception pass, but the Giants offense flops with another 3 and out.   Then the Train Rex changes to Good Rex and tosses a perfectly thrown pass in the end zone to Santana Moss to take a stunning 10-0 lead in the 1st quarter. The second quarter ...

Grossman unfazed by scrutiny, talk of future role

Washington Redskins quarterback Rex Grossman knows that this season has been an audition for his future role, whether it’s with the Washington Redskins or some other team. But he hasn’t let the scrutiny faze him. Grossman declined to sign a two-year deal this with Washington during the offseason because he wanted to keep his options open in case John Beck cemented himself as...

Are You Really Still Labeling Him Elite?

This has been a discussion ever since he opened his mouth at the very begining of the year.  Eli Manning, self-proclaimed himself to be a top five quarterback.  When that happened, you had a bunch of idiots running with it, calling him elite.  Are you serious?  I have said it many times in coversation, on my site, and on the radio, the BTR Network, Eli Manning is NOT an elite...

Redskins hand Giants devastating loss at home

Rex Grossman threw a touchdown pass, and the Washington Redskins put a hurt on the New York Giants and their playoff hopes with a 23-10 victory on Sunday.

Eli gives Giants edge over Sanchez, Jets

It is a Jets fan’s worst nightmare, and should be: Jets 14, Giants 10, two minutes left, Eli Manning with the ball, and the season, and very possibly two seasons, and very possibly his coach’s job, in his hands. Super Bowl XLII all over again. This one for...

Giants Fall Flat In Lopsided Loss To Redskins 23-10

Rex Grossman threw a touchdown pass and the Washington Redskins put a hurt on the New York Giants and their playoff hopes with a 23-10 victory on Sunday. Grossman threw a 20-yard scoring pass to Santana Moss, Darrel Young scored on a 6-yard run after one of the Redskins' three interceptions of Eli Manning and Graham Gano picked three field goals as Washington (5-9) won for only...

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — If the Washington Redskins proved anything, it might be that the New York Giants don't belong in the playoffs. Rex Grossman threw a touchdown pass and the Redskins put a major hurt on the Giants and their playoff hopes with a 23-10 victory on Sunday. Grossman ...

Is the New York Giants season finished after losing to Redskins?

Amid a chorus of boos from the crowd on Sunday, the New York Giants dropped a home game to divisional foe Washington Redskins 23-10, you know have to wonder if the season is now finished for the New York Giants this season. With the loss to the Redskins, the Giants now move out of first place in the NFC East race and a trip to the playoffs now is in serious jeopardy. Optimism was...

Redskins 23, Giants 10: Week 15 Section

In Week 15, the Washington Redskins visited the New York Giants and appeared to be the team playing for a playoff spot. The defense flustered Giants quarterback Eli Manning all day, intercepting him three times as his receivers made a number of key drops. The offense also made enough plays ...

Forget this season, Bears have big issues to sort out on 2012

Whether it’s Rex Grossman for Kyle Orton or Craig Krenzel for Jonathan Quinn, a new starting quarterback usually elicits an automatic wave of enthusiasm and hope among Bears fans. But the likelihood that Josh McCown will replace Caleb Hanie for the game against the Packers at Lambeau Field on Sunday night is unlikely to snap anyone out of the dreadful funk surrounding this year’s...

Redskins Make Eli Look Ordinary - Again

You can’t spell elite without Eli, but don’t tell that to the Redskins. Eli Manning may have emerged as one of the NFL’s best quarterbacks in 2011, yet Washington made the Giants quarterback look downright ordinary, intercepting three of his passes and severely damaging New York’s playoff chances with a 23-10 win. The Redskins clearly relished their chance...
