According to Pro Football Talk, talks have picked up recently between the Redskins and Fred Davis as the deadline for franchise players to sign extensions looms next Monday. Davis is set to make 5.446 million next season under the franchise tag. He caught 59 passes for 796 yards and 3 touchdowns in just 12 games last year with Rex Grossman throwing to him. The 2008 2nd round pick could have a breakout year in 2012 with Robert Griffin throwing to him. Given that, he might be smart to not sign an extension now and hold out for more money next offseason. The one issue with him is that he’s a failed drug test away from a year long suspension, but, for what it’s worth, Davis says that’s past him and blames the lockout for it.

Robert Griffin III reportedly pushing the Redskins to draft Josh Gordon

Getty Images According to Jason La Canfora of CBSSports.com, quarterback Robert Griffin III is pushing the Washington Redskins front-office to draft his former Baylor teammate Josh Gordon in next week’s supplemental draft. La Canfora stated that when he spoke with Gordon on Tuesday night, he had just gotten off the phone with Griffin. There were about 20 NFL teams in attendance...

How Many Rookies Make the Washington Redskins’ 53-Man Roster?

The Washington Redskins signed all twelve of their 2011 draft picks to the 53-man roster at some time, last season. This year they drafted just nine players–for the luxury of Robert Griffin III–and all nine won't be so fortunate to make the team. Head coach, Mike Shanahan has finally added enough talent and depth to the team, where we shouldn't need to be rescued...

Robert Griffin III’s rookie contract will be completed soon.

As some of the top picks in this year’s draft class wait for number –one pick Andrew Luck to set the market, Redskins QB Robert Griffin III feels that his deal will get done by next week. Please click the link below to read this multimedia feature.

Santana Moss could be Redskins’ #1 receiver

According to ESPN NFC East reporter Dan Graziano, Santana Moss still has a chance to be the Redskins’ #1 receiver. That’s a pretty big leap for the man who was once considered to be on the roster bubble after the Redskins added both Pierre Garcon and Josh Morgan this offseason. However, a window opened when the Redskins cut Jabar Gaffney and Moss took it and ran, losing 15 pounds...

Washington Redskins 2012 Offseason: the Last Rebuild

Since Mike Shanahan became the Redskins Head Coach, the word "rebuild" has been thrown out non-stop. Sometimes the organization would say they're not rebuilding (and the McNabb signing was supposed to be proof, ha). More recently they have toned down their anti-rebuild rhetoric and accepted what the fans have seen for the last two to three years. Now that Mike Shanahan...

Can Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III be the savior of the franchise? (Credit: AP Photo/Pablo Martinez Monsivais) Washington Redskins’ first round pick, number two overall, knows he was drafted by a team with a rabid fan base who is hungry to win. And that is exactly what he wants. Griffin III said this morning on ESPN radio that he embraces the fans enthusiasm...

Trial date set for Sean Taylor slaying trial

A new trial date has been set for the man accused of fatally shooting Washington Redskins safety Sean Taylor during a 2007 burglary in Miami. Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Dennis Murphy on Thursday set the murder trial of Eric Rivera Jr. for Nov. 5. The trial was delayed after Rivera fired his attorney. Rivera is one of five defendants from the Fort Myers area who are accused of killing...

Tim Hightower to start for Redskins if healthy?

According to ESPN.com’s Dan Graziano, if healthy, Tim Hightower will be the Redskins’ starting running back next season. This is notable because Graziano is the reporter who first predicted Hightower would start last year and he did. Hightower rushed for 321 yards and a score on 84 carries last season in 5 games before getting hurt. In his absence, both Evan Royster and Roy Helu...

Real Redskins fan in possibly fake jersey to tours Jerral’s house and pretends to piss on the star

Hmmm. Nope not much left to say that isn’t covered by the headline and picture. The best part about the picture has to be the RGIII throwback jersey. Not because it looks great (it does!), but because I’m pretty confident that it’s a knockoff. As a Redskins fan who no longer attends events at FedEx Field, and refuses to purchase any officially licensed merchandise, I applaud...

How Much Will RG3 Boost The Offense?

It's mid-July, and training camps are between two and three weeks away.  It is time to take a best-look projection at the Washington Redskins 2012 season.  I do this a number of ways.  Today, I will take a pragmatic look at the Redskins offense.  The goal of this piece is not to throw a bottom line number out there, but to take a look at how many points and wins the Redskins...
