NFL Injury Report:
While Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III
expects to continue wearing his protective knee brace into the playoffs, he
said his sprained lateral collateral ligament feels “better every day, every
week,” according to Barry Svrluga of The Washington Post.
“It’s getting pretty close to just being mostly the brace,”
Griffin said. “But the doctors aren’t going to let me take it off, I don’t
believe, and [head athletic trainer Larry Hess] is not going to let me take it
off. So I try to do as much as I can without the brace, and then whenever they
find out that I don’t have it on, then I have to throw it on.”
Griffin indicated that he may be more hampered by the brace
itself than his actual injury moving forward. The dynamic rookie sustained the knee sprain during a Dec. 9 contest against the Baltimore Ravens.
Griffin’s stats from Sunday’s win over the Dallas Cowboys
wouldn’t indicate that he’s exactly sharp, as he completed only nine of 18
passes for 100 yards and no touchdowns. Still, coach Mike Shanahan doesn’t
believe Griffin’s knee is impacting his accuracy, and the quarterback did
manage to run for 63 yards on six carries against Dallas.

Washington Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan began what he thought was a normal press conference on Wednesday when he was caught off guard by a familiar, yet unfamiliar, voice. The voice was familiar in that it is one the coach hears every day. It was unfamiliar in that it was the first time Shanahan had fielded a question from that voice while...
Robert Griffin III helped the Washington Redskins win the NFC East for the first time since 1999 this year with his dynamic play at the quarterback position. Spiller were the only other players with at least 6 yards per attempt at...

QB: Robert Griffin III, Washington Redskins: If RGIII ran for mayor of DC tomorrow he would win, in a landslide. The Heisman trophy winner lived up to the hype, playing like a seasoned veteran throughout the season and leading the Redskins to an NFC East championship. Griffin will be competing with fellow quarterback Andrew Luck for rookie of the year honors. If RGIII can stay healthy...
In the NFC Division Wildcard, you must account for the Seattle Seahawks’ MEAT.
I know it’s not the flashiest thing to talk about. I will concede that it’s easier to talk about Robert Griffin III and Russell Wilson (because we all know flashy quarterbacks win playoff games1). Hell, ESPN has virtually made it a quarterback combine competition. At this point I’m surprised that...
As every NFL fan knows, the 2012-13 regular season is over. For fans of the 20 teams who missed the playoffs, they are in mourning I am sure. Of course, being a fan of the game, I miss it also.

IRVING, Texas — An elusive player like Robert Griffin III or Vince Young or the like usually leads to really good conversion rates on third down, and for the Texas A&M Aggies, that’s just what they’ve got in signal caller Johnny Manziel.
