Wide receiver Pierre Garcon (foot) was officially ruled out for the Washington Redskins' home game against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, and linebacker Perry Riley is questionable with a hamstring injury. Riley will be a game-time decision after getting in limited work Friday. "With those hamstrings, you don't know for sure," head coach Mike Shanahan said. If Riley can't play, Lorenzo Alexander and Keenan Robinson would be worked into the linebacker rotation more. Shanahan said he hopes that safety Brandon Meriweather will be able to return from his knee injury after the team's bye week following Sunday's game. DeAngelo Hall is expected to play against the Panthers, as Shanahan said the cornerback isn't expected to be suspended following his ejection for berating an official during last week's loss. "I think you heard he wasn't going to be suspended. He's going to be fined, but I haven't heard anything officially...

RG3 says he rather be compared to Aaron Rodgers than Cam Newton

RG3 and Cameron have a few things in common. They both won the Heisman trophy and they are running a hybrid of the read option offense in the pros. That is about it. Cameron is huge quarterback along the lines of Ben Rothelisberger while RG3 is built more like Drew Brees. Cameron is a more physical runner like Tim Tebow and RG3 is more explosive runner like a young Michael Vick...

The Redskins are fun to watch, too bad they're not winning more. Week 9 Preview.

Denver at Cincinnati - The Boncos and Peyton Manning have things rolling now on both sides of...

Redskins To Rock These Throwbacks For Week 9

The Redskins unveiled their throwbacks earlier this year and they will be pulling them out of the closet this Sunday when they play the Carolina Panthers in Week 9. The uniforms are as old school as you can get, but done extremely well by the folks at Nike. Fittingly the uniforms will be worn as the ‘Skins have their “homecoming” celebration, which is when old players and coaches...

Report: DeAngelo Hall will be fined, not suspended by the NFL

According to Mark Maske of The Washington Post, Redskins cornerback DeAngelo Hall will be fined and not suspended for getting ejected from last week’s game against the Steelers after cursing out an NFL referee. Hall will also receive a warning from the league that if something like this occurs again he could be suspended.  At this point we don’t know how much he’ll be fined...

Mike Shanahan Felt Like a “Dumb Sh*t” For Sending RG3 On Passing Route

Robert Griffin III is a great athlete, and when you have a great athlete at quarterback, you have a tendency as coach to try to do too much with him. Such was the case Sunday in Pittsburgh, when Mike Shanahan became a genius, and had Griffin III go out for a pass. Griffin III tried [...] [[ This is a content summary only. Garcon OUT for Week 9 – Upgrade Moss?

The Redskins won't begin to recoup on their hefty investment in Pierre Garcon in Week 9. With the week 10 BYE coming up there is a good chance that Garcon will able to return in Week 11.

Carolina Panthers at Washington Redskins: Week 9 NFL Pick

Carolina Panthers (1-6) at Washington Redskins (3-5) This is one of two trap lines I identified this week. According to this line, the Redskins and the Panthers are comparable teams with Washington as 3 point home favorites. However, Washington is at 3-5 and the Panthers are at 1-6. Because of that, the action is on Washington and yet, the line is still falling as it opened at -4...
