Redskins running back Alfred Morris has been voted by fans on NFL.com as rookie of the week. Morris last Sunday rushed for 120 yards on 22 carries in Washington’s 27-24 loss to the New York Giants. Alfred beat out Indianapolis’ Andrew Luck, New England linebacker Dont’a Hightower, Tampa Bay running back Doug Martin and Minnesota safety Harrison Smith for the award. A Redskins player has now been named rookie of the week in four of the seven weeks of the NFL season. Quarterback Robert Griffin III has won it three times.
