Hail Redskins:
This should have been done a long time ago. The Redskins waived WR Joey Galloway and promoted WR Terrance Austin from the practice squad to fill the position that Galloway occupied. Redskins Nation, recognizing how little Galloway was producing, has been calling for this move to be made for awhile now. Austin was drafted in the 7th round of the draft and was put on the practice squad.
This move can signal several things. One, the Redskins are worried about the health of Brandon Banks and promoted Austin to take over those duties if Banks can’t go. Two, the coaches finally recognized that Galloway bought nothing to the table and decided to promote Austin to see what he can do? No matter which scenario is correct, Redskins fans are happy with the move. Three, maybe Shanahan went with the veterans Roydell Williams and Joey Galloway to give the young guys a chance to learn the offense by serving on the practice squad.
