Redskins right tackle Tyler Polumbus was fined for an unnecessary roughness call that he received in Sundays loss to the New York Giants.
Polumbus was fined $7,875 for a leg whip when referees believed that the lineman tried to swing his leg around to trip or slow New York defensive tackle Linval Joseph. Polumbus, making roughly $700,000 this season, had fallen to the ground, and his leg flew up, but it didnt do anything to impede Joseph.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the line away from Polumbus and Joseph running back Alfred Morris ran for 15 yards. The run was called back. Source: Washington Post Attached Thumbnails
