An MRI taken of Washington Redskins offensive tackle Trent Williams revealed a bone bruise in his right knee, the Washington Post reported Monday. Williams played through the pain for parts of the second and third quarter but was forced back to the bench. The team initially feared the injury was more serious. The Post reported that Williams was wearing a brace on the knee at team headquarters Monday and told reporters "I'm good" when asked about his knee. It is not clear if he will miss any additional time.

Redskins sign CB Jones, waive Butler

Cornerback David Jones was signed by the Redskins, who waived/injured Crezdon Butler. Washington also signed defensive lineman Chigbo Anunoby to the practice squad and released defensive lineman Delvin Johnson. Ryan Grant agrees to terms with the Redskins

According to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports, the Washington Redskins and free agent running back Ryan Grant have agreed to terms on a deal. Grant has been talking with multiple teams and was in Chicago today working out for the Bears when he got the word that he’ll be joining the Redskins.

Redskins-Bengals Open Thread

Kyle Shanahan fined $25K by the NFL

According to Ian Rapoport of, the NFL has fined Washington Redskins offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan $25,000 for berating a replacement official after Sunday’s loss to the Bengals. The NFL has to continue to crack down on coaches verbally attacking the replacement offcials or else things could get out of hand.
