The Redskins lost two players for Sunday’s game against the Buccaneers in a freak pregame collision.

Safety Brandon Meriweather ran into wide receiver Aldrick Robinson in the end zone while attempting to catch a pass about two hours before the game. Both players went down immediately and took some time to get up.

According to CSN Washington, Meriweather was down about five minutes, but it took Robinson about 10 minutes to get up as he was standing still when Meriweather ran into him.

Meriweather had missed the first three games of the season with a sprained MCL and was expected to see his first action of the season. Robinson had 1 catch for 12 yards in a Week 3 loss to the Bengals.

Between this freak accident and the ridiculous Josh Morgan blunder in Week 2, it’s been an odd first month of the season for the Redskins.

  • y? do the skins keep signing these players that they have high hopes 4 & they never play until late in the season like b. meriweather the skins "NEED" safety help bad. meriweather can't help u right now y not sign some1 who can like bob sanders an ex defensive player of year. and linebacker 2 replace orakpo which u can't easily do but some1 who can a least rush the qb bcuz #50 jackson & #51 wilson just simply ain't getting it done yeah they looked good in preseason against 3rd & 4th stringers who r probably not playing for anyone right now on a some1 practice squad i don't even hear their names being called except 4 that goalline touchdown interception by #50 rob jackson against tampa bay other than that nuffin it's so sad y the skins can't b more aggressive in free agency it's plenty of good db's on free agency & linebackers like "LIGHTS OUT" shawne merriman may not b what he once was but we know he can at least rush the qb remember defensive player of the year & led the league in sacks should be healthy by now & plus merriman played at md. university so coming back home might jump start his career "DAMN" at least give them a chance it can't hurt instead of waiting for high hopes players like meriweather to get on the field finally, it" week 6 coming up u don't have time to wait on players if u wanna make the playoffs time it "RIGHT NOW"
