Washington Redskins Head Coach Mike Shanahan said during his press conference today that starting QB Robert Griffin III suffered a grade 1 LCL sprain and that there wasn’t any torn ligaments in his knee.Shanahan said the sprain was Grade 1 (lowest) to the LCL, with no structural damage to the rest of the knee. #HTTR— Redskins (@Redskins) December 10, 2012This is huge news for Redskins fan.  Yes, RG3 will be day-to-day and could miss this Sunday’s game, but the fact that they dodged another bullet regarding his health is huge.  RG3 tried to gut out the injury, but decided it was in the teams best interests for him not to keep trying to play.  Then, rookie backup QB Kirk Cousins came in and led the Redskins down the field to tie the game and then helped them win it in overtime.Cousins was drafted in the 4th round and the Redskins took a lot of flack for taking two quarterbacks in the same draft.  But needless to say, the Redskins are looking great and their front office has put togeth...
