Washington Redskins running back Ryan Torain underwent successful surgery Thursday to have screws inserted into his broken left hand.Torain suffered a fractured third metacarpal in Wednesday's practice. The insertion of four screws was done to help stabilize the broken bones.Torain's recovery time is expected to be anywhere from seven to 10 days.The 24-year-old had 164 carries for 762 yards and four touchdowns last season, and added 18 catches for 125 yards and two more scores.
