The Washington Redskins announced Monday that they have re-signed unrestricted free agent running back Tim Hightower. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, according to the team’s press release. Photo Via ProFootballFocus.com Hightower returns for his fifth NFL season and his second with Washington after joining the club through a trade from the Arizona Cardinals during the 2011 offseason. Last season, the 6-0, 222-pound back started all five games in which he appeared, registering 321 yards on 84 carries with one rushing touchdown. The University of Richmond graduate also added 10 receptions for 78 yards and recorded the first receiving touchdown of his career. Hightower was originally selected as a fifth round pick (149th overall) by the Cardinals in the 2008 NFL Draft, where he played for three seasons.
