One of the key off season moves that would determine how active Washington could be with free agency and the NFL draft was the structure of DeAngelo Hall's contract. Scheduled to make $8 million in 2013, Hall was targeted as one of the players on the roster that either needed to come to new contract terms or, be released to clear significant cap space. Today, that decision has been made with the Redskins front office deciding to part ways with Hall. What does this move mean for the Redskins? Is Washington forced to bring in another veteran or can they rely on existing personnel still under contract? This year's list of free agent corner backs is filled with some quality guys that can fill the role of the No.1 corner for Washington. A lot of people seem to be excited about potentially bringing in Sean Smith (Miami Dolphins) and Derek Cox (Jacksonville Jaguars). Though those two players have proven to have good abilities, I have my eye on two different free agents that may be flying under the radar.Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie played in 29 games for the division rival, Philadelphia Eagles over the past two seasons. While in Philadelphia, Rodgers-Cromartie didn't live up to expectations after coming off three good seasons in Arizona. Rodgers-Cromartie tallied 13 interceptions, returning four to the house for touchdowns during his tenure in Arizona. He shows the potential to be the turnover creating machine the Redskins defense needs and he has the size, (6-foot-2), that's needed to battle with taller receivers. Playing for a disappointing Eagles team, and being blamed as one of the reasons for their lack of success, what better place to prove critics wrong than in Washington?Aqib Talib is not the ideal choice for most fans due to his off the field issues, however,he has the talent to be one of the best cover corners in the NFL. After being dealt to the New England Patriots at the trade deadline, the Patriots are looking to lock Talib into a new deal. This speaks value to Talib, as the Patriots coaching staff has no issue getting rid of players that could possibly taint the organization. With the Redskins' aggressive play calling on defense, they cannot afford to not take a stab at this young man. These two free agents should be at the top of a lot of teams lists which makes them not easy to sign. After losing Hall, Washington can't afford to go without signing at least one of the top free agent prospects to fill the void left behind. Question is, can Washington sign that type of player and stay under to adjusted salary cap?
