According to Ryan O’Halloran of CSNWashington, even though the Washington Redskins are interested in acquiring Colts quarterback Peyton Manning, one other player they might look to sign is free agent Kyle Orton.
O’Halloran also indicated that it’s very unlikely that the Redskins will go after free agent quarterback Matt Flynn.
The Redskins were interested in claiming Orton this past season when he went through waivers, but they were afraid it would cause some problems within the locker room, since Orton and Rex Grossman don’t get along.
Grossman is now a free agent and will likely not be back this season. If the Redskins can’t get Manning, don’t be surprised if they sign Orton.

Is Peyton Manning a good fit in Washington? Is he a wise signing anywhere?
It was just 9 days ago that I published an article decrying reports that said multiple teams were interested in the services of Peyton Manning as foolish, because, of the 32 teams in the NFL there were very few who couldn’t take advantages of his services.
