Washington Redskins linebacker Lorenzo Alexander has been nothing short of a solid player when he has stepped foot on the field. Primarly a special teams force as a backup outside linebacker, the Redskins have decided to move him as a primary backup to inside linebackers Londer Fletcher and Perry Riley.
Honestly, the move makes sense. The 6-foot-1, 275 lb. beast is meant to play on the inside.
BEST OF MAXIM
Last week, Jabar Gaffney (or someone hacking Jabar Gaffney) went on a Twitter rant for the ages, and now he feels that his roster spot in Washington is in jeopardy.
The Washington Redskins are reportedly trying to trade wide receiver Jabar Gaffney, according to Chris Russell of ESPN Radio.
Gaffney is an aging possession receiver and is now expendable after reeling in Pierre Garcon and Josh Morgan in free agency. And Gaffney is not likely going to generate much fantasy interest with another team outside of deeper PPR leagues.

Just a few days ago we released the first PPR Fantasy Football rankings of the 2012 NFL season. During the process, one of the more difficult players to rank was future Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin...
The Washington Redskins will kickoff the 2012 season Sept 9. on the road at New Orleans and will play Thanksgiving Day in Dallas. The Redskins finished last season 5-11 but will have two nationally televised games this season.
If you can’t trust a man who you have seen on TV your entire life hosting a show that makes you feel dumber every time you watch it, who can you trust? Alex Trebek has been hosting Jeopardy since 1984. He has learned more random facts over the past 28 years than any of us would learn in 28 lifetimes. But does he know sports? If the people of Washington, D.C. trust Trebek’s opinion...
PFT is reporting that the Redskins and Cowboys will have their grievance heard in May. The grievance is over the issue of the NFL forcing them to take salary cap hits for player contracts they front-loaded in the uncapped year.
The league contends that the Cowboys and Redskins violated the “spirit” of the salary cap during the uncapped year of 2010, even though the NFL approved...
A month ago, I would have seen the Redskins signing of London Fletcher to a 2 year, 10.75 million dollar deal with 5.25 million guaranteed as a great deal, but middle linebackers are not being highly valued on this free agency market. Curtis Lofton, David Hawthorne, and Stephen Tulloch all signed for less than I expected.Fletcher is still a good player, but he’s 37 in May so when...
Free agent linebacker Rocky McIntosh, who has spent his entire six-year career in Washington, will visit this week with the Bears, a club in desperate need of depth at the position.
Sports fans follow teams, but they relate to players. I know this because hits to Hog Heaven are unfailingly higher when a player leads a headline than when the topic is about the team.
We saw our biggest hits this month from stories about Robert Griffin III and London Fletcher than when we wrote about the schedule or defense. Big media knows that lesson, so it's no surprise...
