The Washington Redskins hold a 3-0 lead over the New York Giants despite a forgettable start to Sunday’s game at MetLife Stadium. Quarterback Rex Grossman threw an interception to Giants cornerback Corey Webster on the very first play of the game.
On the play – a called flea-flicker – Santana Moss had a three-step cushion on Webster, but Grossman held onto the ball too long and under-threw the pass. Webster turned around, waited for the ball and made the catch of a pass that traveled 49 yards. An unnecessary roughness call on Giants’ defensive tackle Chris Canty away from the ball backed the ball up to the New York 18.

Washington Redskins quarterback Rex Grossman threw an interception on a failed flea-flicker on the first play of Sunday’s game against the Giants. But on Monday – 24 hours removed from Washington’s 23-10 victory – coach Mike Shanahan said all the blame shouldn’t fall on Grossman.
Grossman took the snap at his own 18-yard line and handed it off to running back Roy Helu,...
Rex Grossman threw a touchdown pass and the Washington Redskins put a hurt on the New York Giants and their playoff hopes with a 23-10 victory on Sunday.
Grossman threw a 20-yard scoring pass to Santana Moss, Darrel Young scored on a 6-yard run after one of the Redskins' three interceptions of Eli Manning and Graham Gano picked three field goals as Washington (5-9) won for only...
Washington Redskins wide receiver Santana Moss has a difficult opponent coming up - and we're not talking about Sunday's game against the NFC East rival New York Giants.
Moss owes the Internal Revenue Service $258,017 on income taxes from 2006, the Detroit News reported. The newspaper noted that the IRS filed a tax lien against the 32-year-old Moss on Nov. 22 in Broward...
According to Robert Snell of the Detroit News, Washington Redskins wide receiver Santana Moss owes the IRS more than $258,000. You might be wondering what exactly Moss owes the IRS. Well the IRS filed a tax lien against him on November 22nd in Broward County Circuit Court. The tax lien, which is right here, indicates [...]
Washington's reliance on Rex Grossman's imperfect game against the New York Giants signals something good about Mike and Kyle Shanahan. They have learned to live with imperfection and win with it.
Yesterday's Giants win, with Grossman at quarterback, was the first sign of growth by the coaches since the Shanahan's came to Washington. It was also the first sign...
This week, the Vikings move from the impressively efficient style of the New Orleans Saints' offense to the ordinarily average Washington Redskins.
After Drew Brees and the Saints' passing offense lit up the Vikings for 573 total net yards, including 412 in the air, the Vikings' secondary that is looking for any glimmer of positive news should be able to find some success...
Donté Stallworth has made a handful of catches to convert third downs in recent weeks. Not bad for a guy the Washington Redskins cut last month. Since the Redskins re-signed Stallworth on Nov. 15 after waiving him a week earlier, quarterback Rex Grossman has relied on him when the Redskins ...
Washington Redskins – 23, New York Giants – 10
Not quite the shocker of the Packers-Chiefs game, but this one was a bit of a surprise in its own right. Rex Grossman (185 yards, 1 TD, 2 INTs) and the Redskins went into the New Meadowlands and crushed the Giants’ postseason hopes. Of course,Eli Manning’s (257 yards, 0 TDs, 3 INTs) implosion had a lot to do with that, as...
If the New York Giants miss the playoffs once again, they have only themselves and the Washington Redskins to blame.
Rex Grossman threw a touchdown pass and the Redskins put a major hurt on the Giants and their playoff hopes with a dominating 23-10 victory Sunday in a game in which New York showed little desire with much on the line.
"I'm very disappointed in how we...
