The funny thing about the argument over tanking for draft picks -- last discussed here in the context of Rick Snider's column following the Redskins' win in Jacksoville -- is that, in the end, it doesn't really matter how hard you try to win or how much effort you put forth. The team's effort last night was one of their best against the Giants in years, and in the end it was just another loss, the tenth on the season. And, coincidentally enough, that tenth loss nets the Redskins the tenth pick in the 2011 draft. Last time the Redskins selected tenth, World War 2 was still a going concern; the team chose former SEC Player Of The Year Jack Jenkins out of Vanderbilt. He played in 22 games over a span of five years from 1943-1947, carrying the ball 84 times for 274 yards.
