The Washington Redskins defeated the St. Louis Rams in a much needed rebound after last Monday’s stunning loss to the rival Dallas Cowboys. The Redskin’s running back Ryan Torain made his 2011 season debut on Sunday making an immediate impact in the game against the 0-3 Rams. Pounding the ball through the league’s 32nd ranked run defense, Torain may just have run himself back into the starting lineup for the Redskins.  His 20-yard TD bursting through Rams tacklers, clearly is the “Play Of the Game.” and helped propel the Redskins to their first 3-1 start since 2008. Torain was the starting running back last season for the Redskins after an injury sidelined starter Clinton Portis.  Torain then suffered an injury of his own with a broken left hand during the Redskin’s training camp.  Newly acquired Tim Hightower from the Cardinals, earned his way into the starting job with rookie Roy Helu eluding his way into the number two spot at the start of  the regular season. Call it fresh legs or biting at the chops to get back in there, but Ryan Torain certainly made the best of his opportunity to move the ball in a much needed ground attack against the Rams. [...]
