The Washington Redskins and cornerback DeAngelo Hall are close to finalizing a one-year deal reports Washington Post writer Mike Jones. Hall, 29, has been on the Redskins roster for the past five seasons.
Washington never ruled out bringing back the veteran if the terms were to their liking.
Last season Hall played in all 16 games for the Redskins combining for 95 tackles and 4 interceptions. Hall is no longer a shutdown corner but in Washington he could prove to be a solid –and inexpensive– piece to a secondary that struggled at times last season.
The Redskins recently brought in E.J. Biggers and still have Josh Wilson on the roster.
Hall has not received much interest on the free agent market. He old deal with the Redskins was for $8 million and needless to say his new salary will be significantly lower.
