According to Mark Maske of the Washington Post, the Washington Redskins are working to get veteran linebacker London Fletcher under contract for the 2012 season.

“I’ve said this from day one: London is a team leader, a great player, and we want him back,” Shanahan said.

Contract negotiations between the Redskins and Fletcher’s have continued, according to Shanahan.

“All I can say is we want him and there are conversations ongoing,”said Shanahan at this weeks NFL owners meetings, per the Post.
